New Releases : Notting Hill & North Kensington and Putney
New this year: Wild about Notting Hill & North Kensington and Wild about Putney & Roehampton. We are also very proud to announce the publication of our first children's book, Arnold & Friends.
This area of London is rightly known for its wonderful gardens but there is so much more to discover. There is a rich diversity of architecture, from the large white villas in the south to the lovely tree-lined streets north of the Westway, and its hard to belive that only 160 years ago it was all just fields. Then there is the Portobello Road and surrounding area, with its colourful array of stalls and people and as much a draw for the locals as the many thousands of tourists who flock to this part of town. Join local photographer Andrew Wilson as he explores this and much more much more, showing off Notting Hill at its very best and illustrating why this area is such a desirable place to live and work.
In olden days, Roehampton and particularly Putney were held up as a sanctuary for those living in the city on account of its clean living but still close proximity to town so as to maintain good communications. Over the years nothing has really changed, fields and market gardens may have made way for housing, but we still have in abundance all the things that the Elizabethans loved about being here. The good communications, the river, the entertainment, the rich heritage, the parks and gardens. Join local resident and photographer Andrew Wilson as he explores all these things and more and highlights why the Putney area is such a wonderful place to live and work.
